This does not mean, however, that trapping them should be done with cruelty. Once this trap snaps shut, the animal is caught and you are able to free it in a more suitable location. This is done by turning the lever on the trap door upwards.It is recommendable using protein-rich food like peanut butter, etc. as bait. Place this on the inner bait plate and put the trap in the desired location. Clamp the lever of the trap flaps under the pole on the top of the cage. Each pole needs to be fastened to a small hook and the trap is ready. Motion on the trap plate will activate it.Please note: Regular checks of the trap avoids causing an animal stress or going hungry.
