GitS is a FPS featuring a story adapted from the famous anime. In a futurist environment, the player can choose between four characters.

In the year 2030, where does reality end and virtuality begin? The line between cyborg and human is almost indistinguishable and cyber-crime, espionage, and terrorism plague a society lost between humanity and technology.

Playing as one of 4 members of Section 9, the player will investigate many incidents; sometimes seemingly unrelated to the usual Section 9 tasks. However as separate incidents and mysteries are solved, a much bigger problem will emerge...

The Niihama terror plot was just the beginning. Berutarbe in the northern region, has just celebrated its 20th anniversary return to the Kurile Islands. Section 9 have been sent to the area to protect the festivities and to investigate several mysteries in the surrounding the area.

Section 9, the Defense Agency, snipers, Tachikoma and Black Tachikoma all intersect in the former cyberbrain city of Berutarbe.
