The pasta maker makes delicious shortbread biscuits quickly and with ease. In fact, it will make as many as you want – and needs no electricity!

Recipe for delicious shortbread cookies
Ingredients for approx. 3 trays of cookies. For the dough: 450 g flour, 50 g corn starch, 250 g butter, 160 g refined sugar, ¼ tsp baking powder, 1 pinch of salt, 2 eggs, 1 egg, of which the yolk is for brushing, 2 tbsp of milk for brushing
For the decoration:
Dark couverture & chocolate/ chocolate shavings
Step 1: Add all the ingredients for the dough into your mixing bowl and use a hand mixer with a dough hook attachment to knead it into a smooth short pastry dough. Then cool the dough for approx. one hour.
Step 2: Press the dough through the pasta maker with the pastry attachment and roll the dough roll against the grain for a crumbly look. Shape the dough pieces into strips, rings or S shapes and place them on a tray with a baking mat.
Step 3: Whisk the egg yolk and the milk and brush the mix on the cookies; bake in the oven until golden brown: Baking time: 10-12 minutes, temperature: 190°C (top and bottom heat) Tip: Dip the cookies in couverture or chocolate and decorate with chocolate shavings.
