Product Information

What is the post-truth world, and how can we remain fully human in it? Engaging with current philosophers and thinkers, this book looks at the roots to our human condition. It looks at the wisdom that traditional Christianity can bring to a Western culture preoccupied with individualism and utilitarian methods of thinking. The desire for a fulfilling life is a common motivation for people, regardless of religious faith or non-faith. To be full of character – joyful, thoughtful, resourceful and truthful – we need habits of the heart. This book explores the ways in which we can imagine our humanity differently and find happiness as a direct result of becoming full of character.

Frances Ward is the dean of St. Edmundsbury Cathedral and a theologian and writer. She is a trustee of the Church of England National Society and has written and published on a number of subjects in theology and education.
