Gene Pitney possessed one of the most powerful, dramatic and instantly identifiable voices of the 1960s, equally comfortable on big beat ballads, rockers, country or R&B.
This unique compilation collects together all of Gene's known recordings between 1958-1962 and this marks the first time that this complete body of work has been compiled.
Included are his early demos with The Embers, and the singles he cut as Jamie & Jane (with Ginny Arnell) and Billy Bryan which he recorded before he was famous and are now collectors' rarities that are virtually impossible to find elsewhere on CD. Plus all his well-known 1961/62 hits and his first two LPs.
