Product Information
Singing bandleader Bobby Vinton was about to be dropped by his record company, Epic, when he suddenly exploded onto the US charts in the summer of 1962 with the multi-million-selling 'Roses Are Red'.
He consolidated with a string of hit singles and albums, going on to become one of the most popular singers of the 60s, one of the few American artists whose career was unaffected by the arrival of The Beatles and the subsequent British Invasion.
This compilation includes six hit singles: 'Roses Are Red'; 'I Love The Way You Are'; 'Rain, Rain, Go Away'; 'Trouble Is My Middle Name'; 'Let's Kiss And Make Up' and 'Mr Lonely', and two chart albums, 'Roses Are Red' and 'Bobby Vinton Sings The Big Ones'.
Also included are a couple of collectors' rarities, unavailable elsewhere on CD, notably his unsuccessful US cover of Eden Kane's UK #1 'Well I Ask Ya'.
