Melvin “Wah Wah” Watson is a soul funk
guitarist, songwriter and producer.
During his time in the music industry he has worked with the likes of
Quincy Jones, The Temptations Michael Jackson, Phaorah Sanders, Marvin Gaye,
Pointer Sisters, The Beach Boys, Dizzie Gillespie and Donald Byrd.
He was a key player in the seventies Motown
Sound and has contributed guitar and/or writing and production to literally
hundreds of Motown singles and albums.
He also worked with all of the hit producers at Motown, including
Holland-Dozier-Holland, Frank Wilson, Johnny Bristol and Norman Whitfield.
ELEMENTARY
is his only solo album and also features the legendary Herbie Hancock.
