-Born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa, soul/R&B performer Jonathan Butler signed to Jive Records in 1977 and later relocated to the UK, enjoying a high profile and several hit singles and albums across the 1980s.
-This deluxe 2-CD set includes the singer’s self-titled second LP for Jive. First issued back in 1987, the double-album peaked at No. 12 on the UK charts. This success fuelled the Top 20 success of the single ‘Lies’, a song later nominated for a Grammy.
-Jonathan Butler has now not only been remastered but expanded with a bonus disc containing rare non-album songs and versions.
-The singer continues to enjoy a high profile back in his native South Africa, where his music now reflects his life as a born-again Christian.
