Boy bands and beat groups – the Everly Brothers were one of the first of the former, while it’s certain that the Beatles and their contemporaries took great inspiration from Don and Phil’s heavenly harmonising. Back in the late Fifties the two lads from Kentucky laid the foundations for pop music as we know it with just two voices and two acoustic guitars.
