Scent Intense is a deep and distinctive olfactive creation that defines Costume National’s style. Bold yet refined, this eau de parfum, with its jet-black look, intoxicates the senses with a woody-ambery scent, giving off an enveloping and magnetic energy. Scent Intense’s strong, independent and non-conventional character arises from the combination of a dynamic personality and a rock ‘n’ roll soul.

The bottle is an iconic design object: it is the reproduction in glass of Ennio Capasa’s sculpture that was inspired by the human silhouette. Dressed in an intense black, the bottle has subtle blue hues which convey mystery, elegance and seduction.

The Fragrance
Scent Intense, with its full-bodied, strong and biting essence, has the same audacity and insolence of an iconic leather jacket. Scent Intense is an original reinterpretation of one of the noblest ingredients in perfumery –Amber – owing its unmistakable sillage to a deep ambery-leathery harmony. Magnetic and sensual, the fragrance opens with the elegance of bergamot and jasmine tea. In the heart, the alluring and mysterious oriental rose plays with the luminosity of mother-of-pearl hibiscus and jasmine, giving life to intriguing contrasts. The dry-down, dominated by the scent of leather and the blend of amber and woods, unveils Scent Intense’s irresistible punk-rock soul.

Laurent Bruyere
Since he was a child, Laurent was keen to discover how things were made, going well beyond the first impression. This curiosity leads him to undertake Biochemistry studies, successfully completed. At the age of 16, during his studies, he approaches the world of perfumery staring at a lady who was mixing ingredients to create an Eau de Cologne.

He began study as a self-taught the greatest fragrances of the past, trying to reproduce and reinterpret them, creating new concepts.

He worked along other creators, like Dominique Ropion, his mentor over the years of collaboration with IFF, creating iconic fragrances.

Distinctive note: AMBERGRIS

SMELL: amber, musky, animal, marine powdery (seaweed)

ORIGIN: Gray amber, not to be confused with yellow amber (fossilized resin of vegetable origin), is secreted by the Sperm Whale, which then releases it into the sea, where it must remain for a long time before releasing its characteristic smell. Considered as precious as gold, it has been traded since 1000 BC. Ambergris is sourced in New Caledonia, where it runs aground on the beach during floods.

EXTRACTION: it is used as an infusion, tincture or extract. Nowadays it is almost entirely recreated with other natural raw materials.
