Arginine is a semi-essential amino acid. It is a component of proteins and is therefore involved in numerous important processes in the body. Semi-essential amino acids are conditionally necessary for life and can be produced in the body from other amino acids. They can become essential for the body if certain conditions are present, e.g. illness, physical activity and age.

Vitamaze L-Arginine is produced by fermentation. Carbohydrate-containing, purely vegetable raw materials are used for this. Special microorganisms transform these raw materials in their natural metabolic process and thus produce the amino acid arginine as a pure substance.

Despite being a high-dose ingredient, Vitamaze L-Arginine is filled in the normal capsule size ("00") to prevent swallowing difficulties. Many other suppliers use oversized capsules. The capsules contain only L-arginine hydrochloride - no additives.

The 360 capsules of this product each contain 750 mg of L-arginine hydrochloride - part of which is the L-arginine base (622.5 mg). As arginine is not chemically stable enough as a pure substance, it is converted to L-arginine hydrochloride in a further manufacturing step, which is the form of arginine that is best utilised by humans.

L-Arginine is produced exclusively in Germany according to the official HACCP concept and does not contain the separating agent magnesium stearate (magnesium salts of fatty acids) in order to maintain the ideal effectiveness.

In addition, the capsules are free from unnecessary additives. These include allergens such as gluten and lactose, but also colourings and preservatives, fungicides, pesticides, genetic engineering and artificial fertilisers. Only beef gelatine is used.
