Hozelock Ecopower+

These high performance above ground filters combine mechanical and biological filtration and an integrated high wattage UVC. These filters come with a Clearwater Guarantee.
How does Ecopower+ work?
Water enters the filter through a stepped hosetail (1) and from here it passes into the UV chamber (2). The UV chamber features a “turbulator” to ensure that the water is exposed correctly to the UV light produced by the UV bulb. This clumps the algae that causes greenwater together. The water then passes through a Venturi (3) to aerate it. The aerated water passes into the bottom of the filter through plastic biomedia (4) where beneficial bacteria cleanse pollutants and remove fish waste.


The waste in the bottom chamber can be dislodged (5). The water then rises up through the foam filters where the debris and solid waste are removed. Purified water then passes up an outlet tube (6) and back into the pond.
