The optional BPA-free tamper for the K400 Artisan blender helps you to mix ingredients and provides ultimate control. Suitable for large or ultra-thick blends. Generally, there will be no need to use the tamper, because the blender delivers excellent performance. It’s designed to achieve the perfect taste, powering through tough ingredients to deliver smooth results for soups, baby food, nut butter, homemade hummus and purees. When it comes to high-speed blending, there are instances when an air pocket may be formed over the blade, causing ingredients to bridge. The tamper allows you to quickly step in and push ingredients into the blending vortex to achieve optimum consistency. KitchenAid products are made to be a pleasure to use and as easy as possible to clean and care for. This tamper is made out of rubber and BPA-free plastic and is dishwasher safe.
