When built, the British Valentine light tank measures 14 cm (5.5") long. The German light tank designed in the interwar period, Panzer I, is 8.5 cm long (3.3") when built. The French R35 main battle tank designed in the 1930s configuration is 9 cm (3.5”) long when built.
