Arete will blend in with your home
From working with their customers, Meaco understood the importance of a dehumidifier being part of the furniture. The design matters so that it can stay out of the way, whilst being practical too. It can stay against the wall and has furniture style feet, with hidden castors.

Whisper quiet
For many people, keeping the noise down is very important, especially when it sits in the bedroom. Meaco’s team trialled and tested many options over 18 months, to provide the quietest dehumidifier they have ever made. Arete is twice as quiet as the industry standard, at just 40dB.

Simple to use
The control panel on the Arete gives you complete control and is simple to use. You can control the unit with the single touch of a button – especially for the Smart Humidity Control and Smart Laundry. With large buttons for the most-used functions, it is uncomplicated and efficient.

For a great night’s sleep
A lot of units have a Night Mode, but these often come with an annoying light or noise when you press the button. The Arete Night Mode is different. All the lights turn off, the fan speed changes to the quietest low mode and there are no noises. Another bonus is the child lock, so there’s no need to worry about the Night Mode being turned off accidentally.

Arete’s Night Mode is not just for night-time but anytime when you want the dehumidifier to be as quiet as possible.

An easy-to-handle water tank
With a large, 4.8 litre tank, getting Arete’s water tank out and carrying it to the sink or emptying point needed to be straightforward. Meaco studied how customers handled the water and how the process could be improved to make things easier for each user.

They designed Arete’s water tank with two large slots to the left and right that naturally accommodate your fingers, giving you a strong hold on the tank, which pulls out smoothly to place it on the floor. An integrated carry handle means you can just pick it up and empty it out. So that there’s no need for twisting or changing hands to pour out the water, there is the extra design feature of a pouring spout on the left and right side.

Friendly to the environment
Meaco stopped including free drainage hoses with their dehumidifiers several years ago to reduce the impact on the environment. Arete has a hose adaptor instead, allowing you to hook your standard garden hose to the unit for continuous drainage. Not only does it make life easier for you, but it also helps to reduce plastic waste.

A cleaner air for your home
The Arete can be used all year round. Every Arete includes a medical-grade H13 HEPA filter, that cleans the air during dehumidification, and can also be used as a stand-alone air cleaner during the warmer months of the year.
