The Citroën DS 19 was a luxury passenger car which premiered in 1955. It remained in production until 1975. Its arrival inspired great interest due to its innovative technical features and modern design. The DS 19 was known for its unique appearance, featuring a slim silhouette, elegant lines and chrome accents.

This particular model was powered by a 1.9-liter four-cylinder gas engine that generated 74 hp. Citroën DS 19 was also the first car to use a hydraulic suspension system, which ensured excellent driving stability and comfort. This system also allowed the height of the body to be adjusted depending on the road conditions. The interior of the car was luxurious and spacious, offering comfortable seats upholstered in leather.

The Citroën DS 19 was the car often used by French President Charles de Gaulle. To this day, this model remains an important piece of French automotive history and a testimony to the close relationship between politics and the world of automobiles.
