Product Information
The MIG-17 is a Soviet-made fighter plane that served in the air forces of 40 countries around the world and thus became one of the symbols of the "Cold War". The plane was built in 1949 and its mass production started soon after. It was a single-seat, single-engine medium wing aircraft with an all-metal duralumin structure and angled wings. A characteristic feature were the three air stream deflectors located on each of the wings. In the front part of the plane there was an air inlet to the engine, divided by a vertical partition into two channels along the sides. The pilot's cabin was airtight, equipped with a retractable seat. The drive was a single turbojet engine located at the rear. The permanent armament included two 23mm NR-23 air cannons (80 rounds each) and one 37mm N-37D (40 rounds). The plane could also carry bombs interchangeably with additional fuel tanks. This extremely popular and successful design has had many development versions. The MIG-17 under the name LIM-5 was also produced in Poland from 1956 on!
The MIG-17 model was designed in a 1:32 scale and consists of 568 high-quality COBI elements. All markings, emblems and inscriptions on the model are prints that do not wear off during use. The set has movable elements such as wheels and an opening cabin in which you can place a great pilot figure. The camouflage reproduced from the blocks is especially beautiful. The set includes a display stand with a plate with the name of the set and the nationality mark. Thanks to the intuitive instructions based on clear illustrations the construction is simple. The plane is a must for all fans of aviation, military and military technology. It is also a perfect complement to the Armed Forces, Vietnam War, Cold War and Korean War collections. In this series we also released Polish LIM-1 and LIM-5 planes, Soviet MIG-15, Czechoslovakian S-102 and a MIG-17 for Vietnam, East Germany and USSR. The block set was entirely manufactured in Poland in the European Union.
